St. Mary's is extremely proud of Upper School History teacher and department chair, Dr. Dalton Lyon, for the recent publishing of his book "Sanctuaries of Segregation: The Story of the Jackson Church Visit Campaign."
The Cynthia D. Pitcock History Award, established in 2002, bears the name of former St. Mary's history teacher Dr. Cynthia D. Pitcock and honors extraordinary people who have made historically significant contributions through the power of their spirits; who through their respect for the dignity of fellow humans, have added to the civility and decency of life; and who, through their exemplary work, have promoted excellence and inspired young women to succeed on whatever path they choose.
We St. Mary's girls are known for a lot of things, but quitting isn't one of them.
After an awesome regular season for our bowling team, the team finished with some very competitive matches. Ultimately, the team finished as regional runner-up, and made it to the Semi-Final match at the State level.
