Student-Run Community Fund Grants $33,000 to Memphis Agencies

St. Mary's girls have a heart for giving back to the community. Last Friday, our student-run Community Fund organization granted over $30,000 to five agencies: Carpenter Art Garden, Memphis Oral School for the Deaf, Exchange Club, Multi-National Ministries, and Books from Birth. Alina Perez ('17), Co-Chair Grants Committee (pictured left) and Erin Katz ('18), Co-Chair Grants Committee (pictured right) were on stage presenting each agency with their grant.

Established in 1998, the St. Mary's Community Fund has granted over $400,000 to over 40 local agencies directly benefitting MidSouth children. It also promotes community service and provides experiences for young women to learn first-hand about philanthropy and grant-making. Our girls learn from an early age how to care for others and give back to the community both on and off campus!
