Welcome
Thank you for your interest in St. Mary's Episcopal School. Founded in 1847 as an Episcopal school for girls, St. Mary's continues in its long tradition of educating and nurturing the whole girl - mentally, physically and spiritually.
Taught by highly qualified faculty within small classes, St. Mary's challenging academics emphasize the acquisition of fundamental skills along with a broad-based knowledge of the liberal arts and sciences. The academic program promotes communication and decision-making skills, creative and independent thinking and critical judgment. Classroom activities are combined with strong athletic, visual/performing arts and extracurricular programs that foster qualities of leadership, cooperation and self-confidence, so vital to the students' future in college and beyond. The environment at St. Mary's requires, both in and out of the classroom, the development of self-discipline, integrity and honorable behavior. Our Episcopal orientation promotes a concern for each individual's spiritual growth and a respect for the diversity of the school community. All of this is done in a nurturing and, yes, very often, fun way!
We encourage you to explore our web site and learn more about the benefits of a St. Mary's education. In the Admission section you can find out about the admission process, get dates of Parent Previews and Visitors Days and gather information on financial aid. We look forward to speaking with you about you, your daughter or a girl you feel would thrive in the St. Mary's environment and enhance the life of our school. Please let us know by e-mail (admission@stmarysschool.org) or phone (901/537-1405) if you have questions or need further information. Thank you again for your interest in St. Mary's Episcopal School!
Sincerely,
St. Mary's Admission Staff
