St. Mary's is proud to partner with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to promote running and wellness in our community!
Do you need a training plan for the Memphis St. Jude Marathon? Are you new to running? Whatever your goal or your age, everyone is invited to be a part of Team St. Mary's as we work and train together to benefit St. Jude. There's no cost for the training runs or plans, and there's no fundraising requirement.
- Kids’ Half/Full marathon: For children under 11; children must be accompanied by an adult. Children run/walk 12.1 miles or 25.2 miles in the months leading up to the race, then on race day run the last mile with their families.
- Grizzlies 5K: 3.1 miles. There's no age requirement, but children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Half marathon: 13.1 miles. Age requirement: 11 years and up.
- Marathon Relay – Get five of your friends or family members and sign up to complete 26.2 miles as a team! There are five race legs: 3.1M, 6.2M, 3.8M, 6.55M, 6.55M. All relay runners must be 11 years or older.
Join us for training runs!
For the 5K, half marathon, and marathon relay we will meet in the fall on Saturday mornings at the north campus for long runs. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. We will run from the North campus, to Waring Road, and onto the Greenline. The course will be clearly marked. For the kid's marathon, we will meet twice a month on a weeknight on Southard track and children can log miles with their families.
