More Accolades for the Class of 2012

The National Merit corporation announced 25 additional local winners of college-sponsored scholarships, including five members of the St. Mary's Class of 2012.
Linda Fu (University of Chicago), Amritha Kanakamedala (Rice University), Carol Elsakr (Rhodes College), Cristia Castle (Birmingham-Southern College), and Alix de Witt (Rhodes College) were honored with awards from their respective colleges. College-sponsored awards are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study at the sponsor institution and provide stipends that range between $500 and $2,000 per year.
