About
A Leader in Girls’ Education
St. Mary’s Episcopal School is a college-preparatory school for girls from 2 years old through 12th grade in Memphis, Tennessee.
At St. Mary’s Episcopal School, we’ve been a leader in educating girls since our founding in 1847. Long before women had the right to vote, our visionary founder, Mary Foote Pope, was passionate about providing girls with the very best education possible. Nearly 180 years later, we remain the experts in how girls learn. Our all-girls environment fosters a unique space where young women are empowered to be bold, confident, and intellectually curious, laying the foundation for future success.
We believe in nurturing the whole girl—mind, body, and soul—and preparing her for a life of purpose, leadership, and impact. Our alumnae are living proof of this legacy, making a difference in the world as strong, confident women. Our graduates lead with purpose and integrity as entrepreneurs, engineers, physicians, artists, and educators. Rooted in the values they learned at St. Mary’s, they shape industries, drive innovation, and empower others wherever their journeys take them.
At St. Mary’s, we know what it takes to help girls thrive. Our rich tradition of academic excellence and deep commitment to developing compassionate leaders ensures that each girl becomes her best self, prepared to make a meaningful impact in the world.
