Media & Communications


St. Mary's Communications Department strives to provide up-to-date information on a routine basis to students and parents. Parents are reminded and encouraged to use the school website to access the school calendar and My BackPack for grades and schedules. Our new school app will serve as a primary means of communication between St. Mary's and students and parents for the upcoming 2018-2019 academic year.

Each school division has a handbook that has been specifically written and designed to answer questions and assist parents with information on school policies and divisional information that can be used on a daily basis. These are linked year-round under "Academics" and each division on our website.

Division news is communicated via a weekly, all-school, newsletter, the school website, mailings and communication from students to home when necessary.

Website & School App: Please contact Lacey Hibbard (537-1426) to have an item posted on the school’s website or app. Please note that content submissions are subject to administrative approval and may be edited for clarity and grammatical accuracy.

APPROVAL OF SCHOOL-RELATED COMMUNICATION AND LOGO USE:

Items incorporating the school name and/or school logos or communicating school-related information must be approved by the Communications Office before production. This includes invitations, stationery, letterhead, letters, flyers, posters, banners, signs, publications, t-shirts, items sold for fund raising, Gobble Gear merchandise, and anything created by coaches, faculty, staff, parents, or students with the St. Mary's name or academic or athletic logo. All St. Mary's t-shirts and clothing items that have a logo, including athletics, or the school name must be created by the Communications department.

Student publicity

If you have a story or photo about your daughter that you would like to be recognized, please send it to us! We are happy to highlight them on our website and/or submit stories to our local newspapers.

Please follow these simple guidelines when you have a photo or story for press submission:
First coordinate with the Communications Director when you have a press submission or story idea. We ask that you let us do the actual submission. You may email your photo or story to Lacey Hibbard. We will only be able to submit high-resolution images with your content as they reproduce clearer.

Please include a description of the student and event to include her name and grade at St. Mary's. You will be alerted when the story is up on St. Mary's website news feed and when the media has printed the story.

St. Mary's vendor relations & LOGO USAGE

Please contact the Communications Department about use of any of our school logos. We ask that you send us your project to gain approval for logo usage, branded colors, appropriate visual layout, and content.
