We recently wrapped up another successful fall sports season at St. Mary’s. All 15 fall teams did a phenomenal job representing the Turkeys. Several teams and individuals claimed championships and top-ten finishes in their league, regional, and state tournaments.

The Lower School Cross Country Team had two students qualify for the State Championship, Francis Holman ’31 and Anna Reed Holman ‘32. Our youngest Turkey runners showed growth and development throughout the season.

Middle School Soccer had another fantastic season. The Blue Team proved to be a dominant force on the field, finishing the season as Shelby League Champions for the second consecutive year.

Middle School Cross Country competed at a high level all season. The team excelled in the Championship meet, winning first place. In the state meet, the team finished 13th.

Middle School Golf also finished the season as Shelby League Champions, with several St. Mary’s golfers at the top of the standings. Anika Kharbanda ’29 finished second after a two-hole playoff. Anya Gupta ’29 finished in third place, and Jada Lin ’29 finished fourth.

Middle School Tennis also had a great year. Doubles partners Amelia Kiersky ’29 and Lawson Kemmer ’28 finished as the Shelby League Doubles Championship runners-up. The team went on to compete in the State Championships, where they finished in third place.

Varsity Cross Country also excelled this year, earning opportunities to compete in the Regional and State Championships. The team put their best foot forward in the postseason, winning the Regional Championship.

Varsity Volleyball finished third in the region and qualified for State, advancing to the Round of 8. Individual accolades included All-Region First Team honors for Kamryn Keith ‘28, Carroline Robinson ‘24, and Lila Johnston ’25, with All-Region honorable mention awards to Shelby Williams ’26 and Ejeme Ataga ’27.

Varsity Soccer players also earned All-Region recognition. Seniors Laurel Lund and Bronwyn Saatkamp received All-Region honors, while Emma Thompson ’26 and Savannah Miller ’27 were honorable mentions. Saatkamp was also recognized on the All-State Team.

The Varsity Golf Team worked hard all season. Golfer Hana Barber ‘25 finished second in the Regional Championship and competed in the State Tournament as an individual.

Congrats to all our cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, and volleyball team members for great seasons. We are so proud of our fall athletes and appreciate their hard work and dedication this season.
