Grandparents Go Back to School

Student reviews notebook with grandparent

Before Thanksgiving, our 1st and 4th grade students welcomed grandparents and grand-friends to campus for Grandparents Day. Students performed a special program with a fun selection of songs representing the character traits of our signature character education program, the Bridge to Caring.

The students presented each of the eight character traits (respect, responsibility, thankfulness, kindness, self-control, honesty, courage, and cooperation) with a song. They shared what they have learned about incorporating these key traits into their daily lives at St. Mary’s and beyond. Click the button below to watch the full program.

After the program, the students escorted their grandparents and special friends to their classrooms to show them what they had accomplished and learned this fall. It was a joy to have our St. Mary’s grand-friends on campus and offer them a glimpse into what is happening in our classrooms.
