Who is your hero and why?: I am still incredibly inspired by Malala Yousafzai on a regular basis. Malala showed the world that she was willing to do whatever it takes to stand up for what she believes in, which she did by attending high school and receiving an education though it was extremely dangerous. This encouragement of education among women is something I am extremely grateful to be a part of due to the St. Mary's community. SMS reminds us daily that, as women, we are entitled to an education like everyone else. They also encourage their students to stand up for what they believe in in a civil way, something that Malala did very well.
What career interests you and why?: I am interested in a career in advertising or in marketing, specifically in branding or strategic marketing.T hese types of careers interest me because it allows me to be creative while still helping the brands have the most success that they can have.
Who inspires you the most? I would say that my dad inspires me th
e most. He works hard but makes sure his family is his priority, which is something I admire a lot about him. He has taught me how to be strong and stand up for what I believe in while still being respectful and kind to every person I meet. One of my favorite things that he says to me is, "there's always going to be someone bigger, smarter, stronger, better. But YOU need to strive to be the best that you can be, and that's enough."
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be and why?: If I could change one thing about the world, I would change the lack of respect and the tendency to turn to judgment that people have. The world is too amazing and our lives are too valuable to be caught up in judgment of surrounding people and not respecting the amazing people that are by us every day.
What is your goal for the rest of the year?: My goal for the rest of the year is to make sure that I not only keep my grades up but I also step out of my comfort zone and start
