St. Mary's Community Fund raised $30,009.01 during their school-wide GIVE901 & "Thanks A Million" coin/money drive to benefit children in our community!
The St. Mary's Community Fund (SMCF), a student-run organization in the Upper School, was founded in 1998 with the purpose of teaching St. Mary's students the importance of philanthropy, community service, and the grant-making process. Each year, the SMCF raises upwards of $35,000 and awards five $7,000 grants tovarious nonprofits – voted upon by all members - benefitting children in the Memphis community. Beginning November 14, girls in the ECC and LS brought pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollars on designated days to help fund the grants process. Thank you girls!
