Hopkins Signs at University of Arkansas Pine Bluff

Congratulations to Aubrey Hopkins ‘26, who signed to play soccer at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff!

In early January, Aubrey signed her national letter of intent to join the UAPB Golden Lions and compete at the Division 1 level in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Aubrey has been playing soccer since she was a little girl, and continuing her athletic career in college is a well-deserved achievement after years of dedication. In her two years at St. Mary’s, Aubrey has been a fearless and consistent defender for the Turkeys. This past season, she co-captained the Upper School Varsity team, earning all-region and all-metro honors for her outstanding performance on the field.

“Aubrey is an amazing young lady who has worked hard to achieve all of her goals,” said Coach Patrick Kabano. “She has broken many barriers and has not had the easiest road to achieve what she has done. With a great support system behind her from her parents, coaches, teammates, and friends, she made everything possible. I am extremely proud of her perseverance and humbleness. She has a great future ahead, and I cannot wait to see how far she goes.”

Athletic Director John Bartholomew describes Aubrey as a dedicated student, a committed teammate, and a competitor who shows up every single day with discipline, humility, and heart. “Her success comes from her years of hard work and her willingness to push herself to be better every day for her team,” said John.

At UAPB, Aubrey plans to major in biology as she continues pursuing her athletic and academic goals. We can’t wait to see all that Aubrey will accomplish as a Golden Lion.
