St. Mary's Earns Top Honors for 2026

Students in physics class celebrate

St. Mary’s Episcopal School has once again been named the Best All-Girls School in Tennessee by Niche, marking the third consecutive year the school has earned the top distinction.

In addition to ranking among the top 50 of 293 all-girls high schools nationwide, St. Mary’s received top honors across the state in the categories of all-girls high schools, Christian K-12 schools, and private high schools.

Notably, in a new category, St. Mary’s was named #2 Best High School for STEM in Tennessee and the #1 STEM ranking in Memphis. This honor reflects the school’s innovative labs, robotics program, and hands-on approach to science, technology, engineering, and math.

“With top rankings in both academics and broader school life, St. Mary’s continues to stand out as a place where students are known, challenged, and supported,” said Head of School Albert Throckmorton. “These accolades reflect the energy and expertise of our entire community.”

Niche compiles millions of reviews from families, students, and faculty. Their feedback consistently highlights St. Mary’s small class sizes, personalized attention, and a community rooted in belonging.
