Memphis Legacy Project
Rediscovering Memphis History
The Memphis Legacy Project was founded in 2014 by St. Mary’s Upper School students and faculty. Students document culturally significant Memphis buildings, especially those in disrepair, before anticipated restorations.
Students have photographed and documented the history of the iconic Memphis landmarks:
- Sears Crosstown Building
- Tennessee Brewery
- Mid-South Coliseum
- Clayborn Temple
Discover the history and transformation of Memphis through the eyes of our students. Visit the Memphis Legacy Project to explore powerful before-and-after images and learn more about the city’s most iconic buildings.
