Summer Reading

Summer is the perfect time for children to read for pleasure! Independent reading will reinforce reading skills developed in school, and we want to encourage your daughter to continue reading while on vacation. We have included a list of some titles that might interest your daughter.

Come by the Kelsey Zehring Library in Moss Hall on Tuesdays, June 4 through July 16, from
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We will be here to help select books for St. Mary's students and their brothers and sisters. The librarians look forward to seeing you this summer.

Upper School Summer Reading

Every student in rising 9-11 grades has been added to the Summer Reading PowerSchool page where you can find more details about Kwame Alexander summer reading. More information is also listed below:

Students in grades 9-12 should choose one Kwame Alexander book to read this summer. There is no written assignment for this book, but your English teacher may assign work based on your book selection once school has resumed in August.

Each book is linked to a Goodreads description and review so that you can learn a little about each one before making your decision.
