Turkey Swimmer Breaks Vanderbilt Records

Our athletes don’t only thrive at St. Mary’s but also in their collegiate divisions. Grace Ciaramitaro ’23 swims for Vanderbilt University. In her first year, she broke the freshman record and was third all-time in the 200 backstroke. 

She was named to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll and nominated for Female Newcomer of the Year across all Vanderbilt athletics.

“St. Mary’s didn’t just give me the skills to succeed as a collegiate athlete,” Grace said. “St. Mary’s also showed me the importance of having a supportive athletic department and an uplifting team.”

Grace is among the list of all-star athlete alumnae who committed to universities for their sports. From Division 1 to intramural sports, St. Mary’s athletics ignites a passion that lives on into college.
