Specialty Classes (Fall 2022)
Auxiliary Programs at St. Mary’s is excited to offer Specialty Classes to girls in each division.
Enjoy returning favorites like St. Mary's Showstoppers and Gymnastics, and new additions like Readers Theatre and Pre-Ballet. After3 is free for girls attending specialty classes from school dismissal until their class starts, and there is a 15 minute grace period for pickup. Only students who stay at school for a FULL day are allowed to sign up for Specialty Classes. If you daughter leaves at noon, we have three noon class options for her. Join us for lots of SPARKLING fun each week in our STEM Gems Club as we code and have fun exploring STEM, STEAM, and STREAM. Each week our STEM Gems will work toward earning a new GEM (diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and more) for their STEM headbands by completing STEM challenges, coding robots, programming and so much more. Our weekly meet-ups enhance critical thinking skills while building up self-confidence and teamwork all in a positive and enthusiastic learning environment. Gods, Goddesses, Heroes, and Monsters: Prepping for the National Mythology Exam
Do you like Greek and Roman Mythology? Do you like taking part in contests for prizes? Then this is the class for you! This class will prepare you to take the Pegasus National Mythology Exam this coming winter. The Pegasus National Mythology Exam strives to make mythology accessible to all students, grades 3-8. We will be covering general Mythology knowledge as well as a focused theme to be determined. Classes will involve readings as well as fun reinforcement activities. We will then spend the last couple of sessions reviewing for the actual exam in February. The cost of the exam and all materials will be covered in the class fee.

2 SPORTS...12 AWESOME WEEKS! Little Dribblers will have a blast experiencing the fun of both basketball and soccer in a fun and nurturing environment. Our program works with the basics of soccer and basketball, including, but not limited to, hand-eye coordination, ball handling, footwork, dribbling, shooting, passing, and scoring a goal. We also include songs, drills, and games to incorporate numeracy and language skills each day. Most importantly, we keep it fun and exciting for the kids while promoting self-esteem, sports etiquette, and the benefits of exercise.

It’s time to get moving! Instructors will incorporate acro-based dance techniques, jazz, and hip hop in this beginner creative movement class each week. Students will learn the basics of each style while also comprehending musicality and choreography in a team environment.

Studio Gray Cheer class is one of the most exciting and intensive elements of cheerleading, especially for first-year cheerleaders. From spirit-building activities to physical training, class is a memorable experience for cheerleaders. Introducing the basic motions and techniques for cheer or pom, this class is amazing for anyone looking to join a cheer or pom team!

Intermediate Gymnastics and Tumbling
Build your skills on the floor, bars, balance beam, and vault. This class will move from the beginning curriculum, focusing on balance beam tumbling skills and tying bar skills into routines. Your daughter will also develop floor skills, including powerful round-offs, front and back walkovers, and back handsprings.

Learn to Fence!
This 6-week program introduces students to fencing history, covers basic equipment, presents basic foundational positions, instills proper movements, begins teaching correct blade skills, and initial competition concepts. Finally, students will have the chance to bring it all together by competing in a class tournament at the end of the course. By the end of this program, the student WILL KNOW if this is something they want to develop, train, and ultimately, compete in further - as a personal or school sport.

College Prep Workshops
ACT Prep Workshop
This class provides comprehensive reviews of math, science, and verbal skills necessary for taking the ACT. Students will learn test-taking strategies and complete practice tests during the course. Students should bring calculators, writing utensils, lunch, or a snack. All other materials are provided.

Early Childhood Noon Classes
Auxiliary Programs is thrilled to offer noon specialty classes for our girls in Pre-K and JK. Girls will have lunch as a class at 12:00 p.m. each day and classes are from 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. Girls that attend a full day of school will return to their classrooms. Girls that typically leave at 12:00 p.m. will have a special 1:15 p.m. carpool on the Marlene R. Shaw Early Childhood Center porch. Girls must attend school on the day that they attend a Specialty Class.

Magical Unicorn Class
Are you feeling magical? Sparkle your way through this single-day class and create your own unicorn stuffed toy, unicorn bookmark, and "unicorn snot" lip gloss in this magical, crafty class!

Gingerbread House Jam

Stories and Snacks
The best part of every season is friends, family, and fun. During the winter, it is exciting to watch all the sparkling snow and ice fall and transform our neighborhoods into a winter wonderland. It is also especially fun to snuggle in with a good story and a sweet treat. Come join us as we read stories of winter and make sweet snacks to enjoy. From snowmen and cookies to snow cones and pajamas and hot chocolate - you won't want to miss out on all of the sweet fun!

Small Hands, Big Hearts - Christmas Service Project
The Small Hands, Big Hearts class helps girls start their holiday season with a meaningful service project. We will prepare toiletry and food bags and make blankets to be delivered to the community.

Your daughter is welcome to drop-in After3 before Friday Flings for $10. Dinner and snacks are provided.

Policies and Procedures
GENERAL INFORMATION
To register online, please visit Ultra Camp. If you haven’t yet done so, please create a complete profile for your family. You may register for classes and make payments through this platform. Please contact Briana Morrow at 901-537-1415 for any registration or payment questions.
A $25 deposit of per-class is required for registration. The $25 per-class deposit is applied toward the total class fee; it is not an additional fee. The deposit reserves a space for your child, and the remaining balance is due by the start date of the class. All deposits are non-refundable. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, as well as checks and cash, are all accepted. Programs will not be prorated for any reason.
Please contact Auxiliary Programs at St. Mary’s at 901-537-1415 if you need to cancel a class in advance. A minimum of 10 days notice must be given to receive a refund, less the non-refundable deposit. Except in cases of illness or emergency that is disclosed to the Auxiliary Programs Director before the start of an activity, refunds will not be given after a program begins. No refunds will be given to those students who choose not to attend class without their parents’ knowledge. Confirmation of class registration will be sent to you via email along with your locations. Confirmation emails will show your balance, which MUST be paid by the start date of class to attend. Classes with insufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation with a full refund. Advance notice will be provided to those registered.
BEHAVIORAL POLICY
Students are expected to adhere to the policies of St. Mary’s Episcopal School. We reserve the right to dismiss from the program (without refund) any student whose behavior becomes unmanageable. Students and campers are not allowed to be unsupervised on campus and are expected to be neatly and properly dressed. The use or possession of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco products is not allowed, and any students in possession of such items will be expelled from the program, and the appropriate authorities will be contacted, and no refund will be given.
DROP IN FEE
There is a 15 minute grace period from the time the class ends to pickup your daughter unless she is enrolled in After3. After that time, she will be dropped into After3 at the rate of $10.
