Day and Munchkin Camps
Munchkin Camps
This unique experience for our youngest campers will be filled with many of the same fun activities as the big day camp but scheduled at Munchkin pace. Munchkins learn through art, music, free-play, storytelling, and water play. Each week has a different theme with a dress-up day on Wednesday and a special activity on Friday.
For girls and boys in rising grades PK - JK

Day Camps
Every day is loaded with fun adventures from exploring nature, creating tasty treats, playing field games, cooling off at the pool, and more. Whatever the activity, campers will delight in discovering new and exciting experiences and making new friends. Each camper belongs to a core group assigned by grade level that travels to activities with songs and smiles along the way. We provide snacks, but campers will need to bring a sack lunch each day. Our trained activity leaders keep campers smiling with new projects. Campers will remember their group leaders for years to come. Each week of camp has a different theme with a dress-up day on Wednesday and a special activity on Friday.

Fun on the Farm
Grab a partner and do-si-do down to St. Mary's for a fun week on the farm! We have a lot of work to do - herd the cattle, feed the chickens, and saddle up the horses. Campers will get to experience what it's like to live on a farm. Dust off your cowboy hat, pull on those overalls, and giddy up for a week of themed games, crafts, treats, and more.

Amazing Race
Grab your bag, pack your snacks, and don't forget your keys! We will discover clues and race our way to different cities, making pit stops at must see attractions. Each of our crafts, snacks, games, and activities will be themed based on where we end up. Come ready to explore and investigate while we race to the finish!

Decade Week
Welcome to the 1920's, or the 1950's or the 1980's! You pick the decade and grab your costume, put on your wig, and make sure your decade is known! Games, crafts, snacks, and more will all be themed around the best of each decade. Get ready to show off your style and travel back in time to a different decade!

Party in the U. S. A.
Show your patriotic spirit and celebrate the 4th of July all week long. Wear your red, white, and blue, and let's take fun to the next level. Campers will celebrate Independence Day with crafts and games that are not only entertaining but will also camp themed. Get the fireworks ready, there's a party in the U. S. A. !

Join the Circus
Let's go to the circus for the second half of summer. We will create the greatest show on earth... you can't imagine all the fun we have in store. This week will be full of color, imagination, and whimsy as we create themed crafts, treats, and more. We will go on Circus adventures and whip up entertaining activities, so make sure you are ready to join the circus.

Christmas in July
It's Christmas in July! Let's celebrate all of the Holidays of the season with arts and crafts, and a lot of merrymaking fun! Campers are sure to "deck the halls, " and spread some holiday cheer throughout by playing reindeer games, reading holiday stories, and singing our favorite Christmas carols. We are going to have a "holly jolly Christmas" in July!

Hollywood
Lights, camera, action! It's time for our campers to walk the red carpet and show off their talents. From the moment you step out of the car, St. Mary's paparazzi will be there to get a glimpse of the bright young star that everybody knows you are! Dress to impress and get ready for a week of art projects, activities, and more that will be sure to get you noticed by all of Hollywood.

Summer Safari
Summer is ending, and we need to take a trip! We will trek through the desert, and be on the lookout for all types of wild animals. Each day, we will explore the crafts, activities, games that you might find when on Safari. Campers are going to have a roaring good time as we say goodbye to summer!

Advanced VEX Robotics
The Advanced VEX IQ Robotics Camp is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving and want to develop interpersonal skills through working in a collaborative team setting. Do you like the mechanics and engineering of making things work? How about the thought of designing robots? Do you enjoy competing? Are you a hands-on learner? Students will have fun building robots and competing in robotics missions. Working in small teams, students use the VEX IQ robotics system to build a robot to compete in fun real-world challenges ending with a VEX Scrimmage. Advanced students will have the opportunity to learn about building complex robotic sensors, robot arms, drive trains, and programming "smarter" robots.

Join us for a week of fun fine motor activities. Campers will participate in activities to strengthen fine motor control, such as practicing pencil grip, scissor control, tracing names, drawing self-portraits, and playing games! Campers will also bring home activities they can enjoy all summer long. All activities are differentiated depending on ages and abilities.

Beginner VEX Robotics

Early Literacy
Not old enough to attend the reading and writing workshops? This workshop is tailored for pre-emergent readers! The action-packed week focuses on key foundational literacy skills like rhyming, letter and sound relationships, syllables, and more! exciting multi-sensory techniques are used to engage campers. Following the center model, campers will rotate through small group, teacher-led centers that focus on early literacy foundational skills. At the end of the workshop, campers will be given a brief observational summary regarding their progress as well as suggestions for activities that support their early literacy skills growth.

Grammar Review
To communicate effectively, a person needs to understand the grammar and syntax necessary to shape his or her thoughts with clarity. Not only that, both the SAT and ACT include much of this knowledge on their English tests. This grammar class will cover the basics of grammar, review what a student might remember from the good ol’ middle school days, and highlight that they may need to study to feel confident in their writing, speaking, and test-taking. *This class will be beneficial to students new to St. Mary’s.*

Algebra 1 Review
An intensive review of advanced algebra topics essential to success in Algebra II and beyond. This will include an in-depth study of rational functions and graphs of linear functions. This review course is intended for students who have completed Geometry and are entering Algebra II.

Spy Science
Campers will learn the science behind everything SPY in a clever mix of chemistry, physics, and biology. Their activities include dusting for fingerprints, using microscopes to analyze evidence, extracting DNA, and writing in invisible ink. They will even build intruder alarms and learn to crack secret codes. This camp is a perfect fit for super-spies and scientists alike! Become a secret spy and take a fascinating journey into the world of forensic science. Don't forget to bring the perfect disguise!

Reading/Wring Workshop
Grades 1 and 2:
This one-week workshop is designed to meet the emergent reader's needs needing remediation and the independent, fluent reader seeking enrichment. Individualized instruction that helps develop your child's contextual reading, word study, and fluency reading, as well as small group discussions that build text comprehension, word attack skills, and vocabulary, are all part of the daily routine. Small group instruction will also include handwriting, journaling, and sentence mechanics.
Grades 3 - 5:
During the one-week session, your student will be developing a deep understanding of academic vocabulary definitions and applications; read, discuss, and analyze poetry; participate in fictional literature discussions about character development, author's viewpoint, story structure; and receive explicit instruction on how to analyze information in non-fiction texts. Instruction will include the draft and editing process for written work.

Math Skills Workshop
Get ready for the start of school with this general math review. Using a math center model, this course is designed to review current math skills and prepare students for the upcoming school year. A low student-teacher ratio encourages each student to build individual skills and receive problem-solving practice in a structured environment. Students will work on building number sense, math facts automaticity, spatial awareness, math vocabulary, and more.

Improve your grades and make study time more efficient! Learn mind-mapping techniques to improve note-taking skills and writing capabilities in this class. College Prep Workshops
SAT Prep Workshop
Math
Get a boost before taking the SAT with this algebra and geometry skills refresher using word problems and data interpretation. Practice test-taking techniques throughout the course and take an actual SAT. All materials are provided to the student, and practice testing will be a part of the class.
Verbal
This class provides practice for all parts of the verbal SATs: sentence completion, critical reading, grammar, and essay writing. The course also includes daily vocabulary building and test-taking strategies using actual SATs. Preliminary diagnostic and SATs will measure each student’s progress. All materials are provided to the student, and practice testing will be a part of the class.

Math
This one-week class provides practice for taking the PSaT with an emphasis on refreshing algebra and geometry skills using word problems and data interpretation; test-taking techniques are explored and actual PSaTs will be given. all materials for this class are provided to the student, and practice testing will be a part of the class.
Verbal
This one-week class provides practice for all parts of the verbal PSaT including sentence completion, critical reading, and grammar. Students use actual PSaTs to familiarize themselves with the format and the content of the test; preliminary diagnostic and PSaTs will measure each student’s progress. All materials for this class are provided to the student, and practice testing will be a part of the class.

Athletic, Dance, and Movement Camps
Carl Schmitt Soccer
At this camp, players will be taught the game of soccer in a nurturing and fun, yet challenging, environment. Players will experience components from the four pillars of soccer (technical, tactical, physical, and psychological) with the main emphasis on developing the individual player. During the last part of each day, players will participate in small-sided games. Prizes will be awarded to campers at the end of the week. Bring a soccer ball, shin guards, water, light (nut free) snack, towel, outdoor soccer shoes, and indoor shoes. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and other camp prizes.

Join in the FUN! Immerse your child in the sports children love! Campers will start each morning with a game, then stretch and warm up to prepare for the equipment rotations: bars, balance beam, floor, mini-tramp (vault). After a craft, a drink, and a nut-free snack will be provided. Campers will enjoy games and activities using the equipment that improves strength, flexibility, coordination, and focus…all while having fun.

Two sports, one awesome class! Little Dribblers will have a blast experiencing the fun of both basketball and soccer in a fun and nurturing environment. TennisTOTS
TennisTOTS is perfect for children who either have expressed an interest in tennis or who just love to run around and be busy. Our camps accommodate children of all ages and levels of ability. We teach campers proper footwork, racquet handling, and the required body mechanics, in addition to other fundamental skills required for this sport. We provide all the equipment needed (racquets, balls, etc.) and pop-up nets that allow for indoor play. This camp is fun and exciting for the children while at the same time promoting self- esteem, sports etiquette and the benefits of exercise. Campers will participate in drills, games and relays which allow for all campers to participate and to be successful. Campers should wear tennis shoes or non-skid shoes to camp each day.

Have you heard about rock climbing and wanted to give it a try? Have you enjoyed climbing in a gym or outside and want to improve your mad sending skills? Join us for a week of climbing at Memphis Rox for a camp taught by experienced and passionate climbing coaches. Campers will participate in well structured sessions that include a mix of supervised free climbing, instruction in climbing movement, instruction in safe belaying, closely supervised belaying of fellow climbers on the roped walls, and various fun climbing related games like tight rope walking, ropes courses, obstacle courses, and knot tying competitions. All sessions will be directly taught by the head coach of the nationals level Memphis Rox climbing team and by a certified outdoor climbing instructor. Parents will drop off and pick up at St. Mary's, and St. Mary's will provide transportation to and from Memphis Rox.

St. Mary's Theatre Broadway Revue Camp is a camp for girls and boys who love Broadway-style tunes and choreography. The students will have an opportunity to have solo singing and minimal speaking parts. Join us to combine the fun of photography and studio art practices! Calling all young architects, engineers, and play aficionados. Young campers will be amazed each day in our Tinkering TOTS lab. We will build multiple structures that are large enough for the kids to fit inside, such as, wagons, helicopters, fire trucks, picnic tables, rockets, and so much more. Each day we will work with different themes, for instance, sports, transportation, camping, flying, and community helpers. Without realizing it, campers will learn basic engineering, design, and architectural skills through building and connecting. Spa Science
Pampering Your Senses Through Science and Art. Mix it, make it, try it out and take it home. This hands-on ALL GIRLS camp uses spa activities to showcase Science and Art. Girls will make fizzy bath bombs, sweet lip smackers, yummy face masks, and more. They'll become clever spa scientists for the week as they learn about ingredients and how to combine them to make fun and fabulous pampering goodies. Each day will also include a daily spa craft. They will experiment with packaging and naming their concoctions in this spy-chemistry exploration. On Friday, the girls will have a Spa Pajama Day where girls sample and share what they have made, while wearing their favorite comfy pjs. It's pure indulgence - and it's science!

Babysitter Certification
Babysitter lessons and safety training is an important program for potential babysitters providing extensive training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. Students will learn how to handle choking and first aid basics for emergency response. At the end of this one day class, students will leave with a certificate of completion and certification card. We know that many are hoping to booking babysitting jobs and having taken babysitting classes makes you look very appealing to families!

General Information
We are thrilled to offer SAGE Dining Program for the Summer! The Summer Dining Plan is available every week of camp for those staying a full day (from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., or longer). The Dining Plan is not available for campers only registered for a Morning Camp or campers only registered for an Afternoon Camp.
The Summer Dining Plan costs $32.50 a week and can be added as an option under your Camp Reservation on Ultra Camp. Week 1 (Aloha Summer Day/Munchkin Camp & Carl Schmitt Soccer), the Dining Plan costs $26 for the 4-day week. The Summer Dining Plan is available for the entire week, with no single day options. Please follow the step-by-step instructions below by Monday, May 23, to add the Summer Dining Plan option to any camp reservations for your child(ren). For help with registration or payment, please contact Briana Morrow, Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs, at 901-537-1415.

Policies and Procedures
GENERAL INFORMATION
To register online, please visit Ultra Camp. If you haven’t done so before, please create a complete profile for you and your camper. You can register for camps, as well as make payments through this site. You may also contact Briana Morrow via e-mail or by phone at 901-537-1415 for any registration or payment questions.
A $25 deposit per-camp is required to register. This non-refundable deposit is applied towards the total cost of the camp; it is not an additional fee. The deposit reserves a space for your child, and the remaining balance is due by the start date of the camp. Summer at St. Mary's accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, and checks. Summer at St. Mary's will not prorate camps for any reason.
To cancel a reservation, please contact Summer at St. Mary's with a minimum of 10 days notice to receive a refund, less the non-refundable deposit. Except in cases of illness or emergency, refunds will not be given after a program begins. No refunds will be given for those campers that choose not to attend a program without their parents' knowledge. Registration confirmation will be sent to the primary email via Ultra Camp; the confirmation email will show account balances. All account balances must me paid by the start date of the camp in order to attend. Camps with insufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation with a full refund.

Campers are expected to adhere to the policies of St. Mary’s Episcopal School. We reserve the right to dismiss from the program (without refund) any camper whose behavior becomes unmanageable. Campers are not allowed to be unsupervised on campus and are expected to be neatly and properly dressed. The use or possession of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco products is not allowed, and any students in possession of such items will be expelled from the program, without refund, and the appropriate authorities will be contacted.
Campers must be at least three years of age by June 1, 2022 and fully potty trained, including nap time, to attend Summer at St. Mary's. If more than three accidents occur within a 7 day period, the Director of Auxiliary Programs may request that your child remain home from camp.

What does my camper need to wear and bring to camp each day?
Campers should wear comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor play, games, cooking, and crafts for our munchkin and day camps. We might get a little messy, so please do not send your camper in anything that cannot get dirty. Please have your camper wear athletic shoes. On Wednesdays, be sure to send your camper in creative attire that matches our theme for the week. Please do not go to any additional expense to purchase costumes; feel free to use items you have on hand at home. Each camper should bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, waterproof shoes, and a plastic bag for wet clothes each day. You will receive an email the Friday before camp starts detailing any specific things to wear or bring for any of our specialty camps.
What is for lunch during camp?
We now offer SAGE Dining Services during Summer Camp. Please visit the Dining Services tab for further information. Please contact Briana Morrow for help with registration or payment for the Summer Dining Plan. If you choose, you may still send your camper a packed nut-free lunch. This includes any products that may have been packaged in a nut facility. If you pack sun butter or soy butter, please put a note on the lunchbox. If your camper is attending a Specialty Camp on South Campus, please pack a lunch.
When can I drop off or pick up my camper?
Summer at St. Mary's offers a range of care options to fit our families' needs. Early Care begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Early Childhood Center; please park and walk your camper in through the After3 doors near the cafeteria. If your child is not dropped off by 8:20 a.m., we ask that you join our 8:30 a.m. carpool around the Early Childhood Center.
If your child is enrolled in a morning camp and not early care, you will drop off in the 8:30 a.m. carpool and pick up from the 11:30 a.m. carpool. If your child is only enrolled in an afternoon camp, you will drop off at the 12:00 p.m. car pool. If your child is enrolled in a camp until 3:00 p.m. and you are not utilizing after-care, you will pick up in the 3:00 p.m. carpool. Picking up your child from camp prior to 3:00 p.m. must be done with advance notice to the Auxiliary Programs staff.
After Care is from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Early Childhood Center. Late fees will apply for campers not picked up by 5:30 p.m.
