What does my camper need to wear and bring to camp each day?
Campers should wear comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor play, games, cooking, and crafts for our munchkin and day camps. We might get a little messy, so please do not send your camper in anything that cannot get dirty. Please have your camper wear athletic shoes. On Wednesdays, be sure to send your camper in creative attire that matches our theme for the week. Please do not go to any additional expense to purchase costumes; feel free to use items you have on hand at home. Each camper should bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, waterproof shoes, and a plastic bag for wet clothes each day. You will receive an email the Wednesday before camp starts detailing any specific things to wear or bring for any of our specialty camps.
What is for lunch during camp?
We offer SAGE Dining Services during Summer Camp. Please visit the Dining Services tab for further information. Please contact Briana Morrow for help with registration or payment for the Summer Dining Plan. If you choose, you may send your camper a packed nut-free lunch. This includes any products that may have been packaged in a nut facility. If you pack sun butter or soy butter, please put a note on the lunchbox. If your camper is attending a Specialty Camp on South Campus, please pack a lunch.
When can I drop off or pick up my camper?
Summer at St. Mary's offers a range of care options to fit our families' needs. Early Care begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Early Childhood Center; please park and walk your camper in through the front doors. If your child is not dropped off by 8:20 a.m., we ask that you join our 8:30 a.m. carpool around the Early Childhood Center.
If your child is enrolled in a morning camp and not early care, you will drop off in the 8:30 a.m. carpool and pick up from the 11:30 a.m. carpool. If your child is only enrolled in an afternoon camp, you will drop off at the 12:00 p.m. carpool. If your child is enrolled in a camp until 3:00 p.m. and you are not utilizing After Care, you will pick up in the 3:00 p.m. carpool. Picking up your child from camp prior to 3:00 p.m. must be done with advance notice to the Auxiliary Programs staff.
After Care is from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Early Childhood Center. Late fees will apply for campers not picked up by 5:30 p.m. Campers not picked up by 5:30 p.m. will be charged $2.00 per minute for the first 10 minutes, and then $5.00 per minute for each additional minute. All late fees are due at the time of pick-up. If you are late picking your camper up on two occasions, we are no longer able to offer aftercare to your child.
