Fun, discovery, and investigation await every child in a creative, supportive, and enriched environment rooted in St. Mary’s Episcopal School’s mission.

We offer a variety of year-round programs, classes, and workshops from hip hop, gymnastics, and fairy tale science to SAT, ACT, and PSAT college prep courses, as well as one-on-one tutoring.

Our popular summer day camps start the Tuesday after Memorial Day and run through the first week of August.

After 3

Our after school program is available for students from St. Mary’s Place (2 years) through 12th grade starting the first day of school in August and continuing every day school is in session unitl the last class day in May. All students receive a snack and engage in a wide range of activities including indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, reading, and free-time. After 3 care is from 3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All students must be picked-up promptly at 6:00 p.m.

Lower School students in grades 1st-5th have a designated homework time in a supervised, structured environment. We offer a variety of monthly care options to choose from.

Fall Special Care Days

St. Mary's offers special care options for students in St. Mary's Place through 8th grade on certain days when regular school is not in session.  Students will enjoy recreation, crafts, activities, and movie time each day.  Snacks are provided, but students must bring a nut-free lunch from home.  This includes   All special care days will be located on the North Campus.

Readers Theater GRADES 1ST-4TH

Imagine giving a voice to a woodland creature or creating thoughts for a village leader! Public speaking exercises, theater games, and improv will all be used as part of the fun. Small groups will prepare short presentations with a performance for parents on the last day.

Chess is one of the oldest games in the world, beginning over 1,500 years ago in India. Students will learn to play chess or sharpen their chess skills in this class. Chess is a fun and challenging game that helps students with memory, problem solving, and strategy.

Math Facts Bootcamp GRADES 1ST-2ND

I don't know but I've been told...learning math facts never gets old!  This class is a wonderful way for girls to practice addition and subtraction skills and gain proficiency.  Each student will receive a packet of materials and games for home.

Kindermusik GRADES PK-JK

This semester, our students will be continuing their exploration of world music! Musical learning in a fun- filled class where students will get hands-on experience with a variety of instruments, as well as exploring singing, dancing, story-telling, and learning about music from other countries. Parents will receive a download of the music we use in class plus weekly emails explaining what the students are learning week to week.

Study Skills GRADES 4TH-5TH

Athletics & Dance


Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Intermediate Gymnastics & Tumbling GRADES 1ST-5TH

Come join the fun! Build your skills on floor, bars, balance beam, and vault.  This class will move on from the beginning curriculum, focusing on balance beam tumbling skills, tying together bar skills into routines, and developing floor skills up to powerful round-offs, front and back walkovers and back hand springs.

Ballet - Nutcracker (3 sessions) GRADES PK-SK

In this class, students will learn the beautiful art of French classical ballet with a creative and fun syllabus designed by Mary Van Dyke, Artistic Director of Children's Ballet Theater.  The theme this semester is the Nutcracker.  There will be a parent demonstration on the final day of class for each session and the JK-SK class can perform in the annual Children's Ballet Theater Nutcracker on the GPAC stage.  Students should wear school clothing and bring ballet slippers;  tutus are provided.

It is never too early to learn self-defense. Come learn from a 7th degree black belt and an 8th degree black belt associated under the PaSaRyu System. Students in this course will concentrate on focus, voice, balance, and much more.

Yoga (2 sessions) GRADES PK-1ST

Yoga at St. Mary’s is integrative learning that uses storytelling, music, and creative arts blended with yoga movement to educate the whole child. Yoga helps to increase focus, concentration, and attention span.

Volleyball Clinic GRADES 4TH-8TH

This class will focus on developing and improving volleyball fundamentals including passing, serving, setting, and hitting. Drill and competitions will be used to reinforce basic skills. Girls will be divided by age group for clinics.

Lacrosse Clinic GRADES 3RD-6TH

These sessions will cover the basics of lacrosse by using drills and small-sided games. Girls need a mouth guard, certified eye-goggles, lacrosse stick, and a filled water bottle each session.

Basketball 101 GRADES 1ST-5TH

Put your game face on and get ready to play! In these sessions, players will practice the basic fundamentals of basketball including shooting, passing, and dribbling. The fitness portion of clinics will focus on speed and agility work.

Fine Arts

Musical Theater- Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle (2 sessions) GRADES PK- 5TH

Students will learn about musical theater through weekly direction of the show Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle.  Students will learn a mini version of the show with parts assigned by age. The combined classes will put on a performance for family and friends on the last day of class.

In this six week class, students will learn the basics of clay hand building. Students will complete three clay projects from forming the clay with their hands to learning painting techniques and/or using specialty pottery glazes. At the end of the session we will have a gallery showing for the students to reveal their sculptures to their friends and families.

Music Lessons


St. Mary’s is pleased to offer several options for private music lessons to our students and families. Violin, piano, voice, and guitar lessons are available. Students taking music lessons after school may stay in the after care program free of charge until their lesson time and will receive a snack, enjoy recreation, and older girls will have a designated homework time. Siblings are also welcome to take lessons at St. Mary’s. Each teacher manages his/her own schedule, so please contact him/her directly regarding availability and fees.

St. Mary’s offers several different options for families interested in traditional music lessons. Traditional music lessons expose students at an early age to technique, music theory, and sight-reading.

The Nathaniel C. Hughes Learning Center at St. Mary's offers our North Campus students, and girls and boys from other schools, the opportunity to enhance their reading and literacy skills.

Tutoring: SK-12th

The Hughes Learning Center works with a variety of tutors trained to meet the needs of every student. From multi-sensory instruction to executive functioning, emergent reading skills to college essay writing, in almost any subject, we can pair your student with a tutor whose goal is to instruct, practice, and encourage independent skills. Peer Tutoring: 5th-8th

The Hughes Learning Center has a team of Junior and Senior student tutors ready to help your Middle School student finish homework, study for a test, or practice a difficult concept. Peer tutors have received a B+ or higher in the academic class they are tutoring and have been recommended by a St. Mary’s faculty member. ACT Prep Workshops For girls and boys entering grades 10th-12th

This class provides comprehensive reviews of math, science, and verbal skills necessary for taking the ACT.  Students also learn test taking strategies and complete practice tests during the class.  Students need to bring a small lunch/snack and calculator they plan on using for the exam; all other materials and practice tests provided.

ArtLand is for students who love art and want to engage with like minded peers.  Students are encouraged to develop originality and personal expression in their work as they explore various two and three dimensional media.  Projects are different in each session.

Policies & Procedures


All policies and procedures expressed in the St. Mary’s Student Handbook apply to Enrichment Programming. All students must be fully potty trained to participate in any enrichment activity. Any questions should be addressed to the director.

To register online, please go to www.stmarysschool.org. When you click "register", you will be directed to our online registration system Ultra Camp. If you haven’t done so before, please create a complete profile for you and your child. You can register for classes, as well as make payments through this site. You may also contact Kacie O’Kelley (Enrichment Programs Business Manager) at kokelley@stmarysschool.org or 901-537-1415 for registration and to make payment.


A $25 deposit per class is required for registration. The $25 per-class deposit is applied toward the total class fee; it is not an additional fee. The deposit reserves a space for you child, and the remaining balance is due by the start date of the class. All deposits are non-refundable. Our program accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, as well as checks and cash. St. Mary’s classes will not be prorated for any reason. Classes with insufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation with a full refund. Advance notice will be provided to those registered.

St. Mary's classes will not be prorated for any reason. A reservation must be canceled before the start date of the class to receive a refund. Dropping a class after the start date will be non-refundable.


Students are expected to adhere to the policies of St. Mary’s Episcopal School at all times while on campus. We reserve the right to dismiss from the program (without refund) any student whose behavior beomes unmanagable.


Only adults designated on the registration form will be allowed to pick up children from the program. Written authorization is required for pick up from someone other than those listed on the registration form. The parent or authorized adult to whom the child is being released must sign the child’s time sheet and record the time.


It is important that students be picked up promptly at the end of their classes. Children not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of class will be checked into our after school program and charged a drop-in fee.

Students should be picked up promptly at 6:00 p.m. Parents will be charged a fee of $2 per minute for the first 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, a late fee of $5 per minute will be charged. All late fees must be paid at the time of pick-up. If a student is picked-up late more than three times in a semester, St. Mary’s reserves the right to dismiss that student from the after school program.
