Ballet Basics for Ages 12 to 18
It’s never too late to learn the fundamentals of dance! Buckman is pleased to offer Ballet Basics for ages 12 to 18. Designed for more mature students, the class will cover the essential elements of dance, including ballet positions, technique, verbal commands, terminology and stage presence in a non-competitive atmosphere. Ballet is the foundation for all choreography and movement. This class is perfect for theater students, dancers from other disciplines and students looking to re-enter the world of ballet after a break. Roudnev Youth Ballet
Under the direction of former Bolshoi Ballet soloist, Dmitri Roudnev, Buckman's resident performance company and school, Roudnev Youth Ballet, offers Russian classical training featuring small classes and personal attention. Instruction is available for ages two to adults, with auditions held throughout the year for dancers age twelve and up. Private Piano and Vocal Lessons with Diane Carden

Playhouse on the Square’s ASAP!
Buckman is proud to be a part of Playhouse on the Square’s After School Acting Program! The After School Acting Program (ASAP) offers children in grades 3rd-5th acting techniques, improvisation, movement, music and more within a theatrical genre that changes each semester. Classes meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for twelve weeks. All students receive a ticket to a Playhouse Theatre Education production to enrich their experience. Each satellite troupe will perform its piece at the ASAP Festival of Plays on the Playhouse main stage. Belly Dance with Jasmine
Start as a novice, become a goddess! Beginners to seasoned veterans will enjoy belly dancing with Jasmine, one of the city’s most celebrated instructors. Classes will focus on building strength, ability and knowledge of the moves found in Middle Eastern and North African dance styles. The benefits of belly dance include weight loss, muscle toning, flexibility, stress reduction and feminine empowerment. Karsilama Tribal Belly Dance
Karsilama Tribal Belly Dance invites you to explore a world of cultural and American fusion dance with classes in Tribal Fusion and American Tribal Style (ATS) Belly Dance. Classes meet on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and offer introductory belly dance, multi-level technique, improvisation, choreography, prop-work and more. All levels, from beginner to advanced student, are welcome and will enjoy the benefits of the Karsilama dance series.
