Strength and conditioning

Grounded in the St. Mary’s mission statement, the Strength and Conditioning Program seeks to enable each student to reach her individual potential and to keep the students in health of mind and soul and body.

Goals

  • Promote a culture of discipline and dedication and challenge each student to bring an attitude of hard work, accountability, positivity, and total effort to each workout.
  • Decrease the likelihood of injuries, improve athletic performance, and increase mental and physical toughness. Our goals are accomplished by utilizing weighted and resistance multi-joint movements in an environment of positive reinforcement, good communication, and constant encouragement.
  • Maximize athletic potential through programs specifically designed for each athlete to meet the demands of her sport including strength, speed, flexibility, aerobic, anaerobic, agility, and plyometrics.
