Support
You make a difference at St. Mary's
Like all independent schools, St. Mary’s Episcopal School depends upon the generosity of our community to sustain and advance the school’s mission to provide an unparalleled education that challenges and supports each girl as she discovers her unique purpose and reaches her individual potential.
Since St. Mary’s founding in 1847, YOU - our alumnae, trustees, parents, grandparents, families of alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends - have enriched our school in so may ways through your generous philanthropic investments.
The generosity of our community has helped build the campus our students enjoy today. You have provided annual support of our operations to supplement tuition income and meet our budgeted expenses, and have established a strong endowment that supports operations today and provides sustainability for the future.
With your support, St. Mary’s girls are able to become leaders, world-changers, responsible citizens, and dreamers – each armed with the character, curiosity, skills, and determination needed to achieve their dreams.
Our community’s support is a vital part of each girl's success and of the continuation of St. Mary’s lasting legacy.

Ways to Support St. Mary's
Your gift to St. Mary’s is an investment in the mission of our school and leads to extraordinary opportunities for our students. However you choose to give, we are truly grateful.
The St. Mary's Fund
The St. Mary’s Fund (our Annual Fund) is the school’s top philanthropic priority. As an independent school, St. Mary’s receives no government funding and relies on tuition and charitable gifts to support operations. Donations benefit every student by enhancing academic programs, expanding financial aid, supporting co-curricular offerings, and maintaining a beautiful and safe campus.
Endowment
Gifts to St. Mary’s Endowment provide a perpetual source of support for the school and its mission. While each fund is established with a donor-designated focus, including financial aid, professional development, STEM learning, and fine arts, the endowment funds share a common objective to support the school throughout its history while also providing support of operations through a yearly draw of four percent.
Capital Investments
Donations to capital projects allow St. Mary’s to invest in the campuses and facilities through brick-and-mortar projects, renovations, and necessary infrastructure upgrades. Donor contributions allow St. Mary’s to maintain a beautiful, safe campus as well as learning environments that meet the needs of today’s girls.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts enable St. Mary’s community members to provide lasting support for the school while earning an income for their life as well as tax advantages. Planned gifts include life-income gifts, bequests, and retirement plan benefits. Donors may also choose to support the school via gifts of stock, bonds, and property.
Annual Report 2023-2024
This Annual Report of Donors recognizes those who contributed to St. Mary’s last year (between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024).
Whether you made a gift to the St. Mary's Fund, the Light, Life, & Legacy Capital Campaign, the Endowment, the Buckman Performing Arts Center, or the St. Mary’s Community Fund, we are truly grateful for you helping strengthen the LIFE and LIGHT of St. Mary's Episcopal School today and for generations to come.
