The independent school financial model is founded on community, generosity, and philanthropy. Like nearly all independent schools across the country, St. Mary’s relies on our community’s support of the St. Mary’s Fund to supplement tuition and fulfill the budget. While we make every effort to be fiscally responsible, the St. Mary’s Fund is essential to the school’s ability to minimize annual tuition increases and address the growing need for financial aid.

St. Mary’s fiscal year runs July 1 through June 30 to coincide with our school year. Gifts and pledges must be received by June 30 in order to receive credit for a specific campaign year and will be acknowledged in our Donor Anual Report published in the Fall. While we will ask for your support at specific points in the year, we encourage you to give to the St. Mary’s Fund at the time of year that works best for you.  

Your gift, regardless of the amount, is vital to the success of St. Mary’s Episcopal School. We rely on the generosity of our community to give as you are able. Participation in giving to the St. Mary’s Fund reflects a supportive community and is a key metric in evaluating our school for prospective families, other individual supporters, philanthropic foundations, and employees.

Donations to the St. Mary’s Fund touch EVERY part of the student experience. Because we know that you may have a special connection to or passion for a specific area of St. Mary’s school life, you may designate your gift to support a key area you are passionate about such as financial aid, school security, fine arts, or STEM. 

If you or your spouse work for a company that matches your charitable contributions, you may be able to double the amount of your gift. Information is available through your company’s human resources department.
